Expeditions
The Explorers Club serves as a common bond and meeting point for explorers and field scientists worldwide. Every year Explorers Club members launch new research expeditions around the world, thus continuing the early goals laid down by the Club’s founders in 1904.
Flag Expeditions
Any member in good standing may apply for the privilege of carrying the Explorers Club flag on an expedition intended to further the cause of exploration and field science. The flag has been carried on hundreds of expeditions since 1918: to both poles, to the highest peaks of the greatest mountain ranges, to the depths of the ocean, and to outer space.
Grant Expeditions
Every year, the Club supports the field research of graduate, college, and high school students through the Exploration Fund and the Youth Activity Fund. Explorers.org is seeking digital copies (MS Word or PDF) of official grant reports submitted by recipients of these funds, for posting online.
ExpeditionLink
Links to live expeditions. An increasing number of members feature their ongoing expeditions by launching their own websites. Any member who has launched a noncommercial website to track the progress of an ongoing expedition may submit their site.
Expedition Resources
Probably the most powerful resource available to members is fellowship with other members—a global network of expertise, experience, technology, industry, and support. The Club provides further resources in the form of funding, advice, and information.
